Fairview makes every effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Some of the strides we make to stay "Green" is by using nature's standing dead timber to construct our homes. We are also able to use up almost all of our logs by turning smaller pieces into log siding or Tongue & Groove siding. Our goal is to create as little waste as possible because we only have one Earth and we want to take care of the planet we live on.
Fairview Log Homes are built with the highest quality renewable Lodgepole Pine and Northern White Cedar Logs. We use only a dry, seasoned log, thereby eliminating the shrinking and twisting associated with green or freshly cut logs. Pine is available in 6" x 8" or 8" x 8" logs, while Cedar is available in 6" x 6" or 6" x 8" logs.
Both species are available with a round or flat surface for your interior walls or in a "machined" log. The Pine logs are also available "handpeeled" with traditional draw-knives, which brings out the natural coloring of each log. We use Green Construction techniques wherever we can to be as environmentaly friendly as possible.
